Frequently Asked Questions
Many customers who self‑manage their supply don’t follow the market while others simply forget they switched. As a result, they end up paying more instead of saving. Here’s an example: In 2023 the Eversource and UI residential supply rates exceeded 24 cents/kWh, the highest ever Supply rates in Connecticut!
Many customers switched to long‑term supply contracts with rates of say 15 or 16 cents/kWh and realized savings. However, market rates as well as the UI and Eversource Supply rates, declined in 2023 to well below the contract rate that these customers were paying. Some customers are still paying those high rates because they are not following the market or forgot to switch again. My Supply Manager won’t let that happen to its customers.
